AAI is committed to accountability and public trust.

Massachusetts Compliance

Public charities doing business in Massachusetts generally register and file annual reports with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Non-Profit Organizations/Public Charities Division, and filings are submitted through the state’s Charity Portal.

Massachusetts nonprofit corporations also file an annual report with the Secretary of the Commonwealth (Corporations Division).

Public Disclosure

Tax-exempt organizations are generally required to make their annual information returns (such as IRS Form 990) available for public inspection, and many nonprofits post these documents online as a best practice.
